H.D. was a pioneering modernist poet who proved there is beauty in unfailing honesty, simplicity and clarity.
 

I like her a lot, and I try to bring those same principles to my work.
 

Skillful communicating is the art of balancing what is said with what is unsaid. It is having the chops to discern between the illustrative detail and the extraneous. It’s having the bravery to identify when you’re delivering valuable information, and when you're just talking to yourself.
 

I have worked as a senior communications officer for a large government department, an account executive in a ground-breaking boutique agency, and I’ve provided independent communications counsel to clients large and small, public and non-profit.
 

(I also provide ongoing communications support to my close friends and family to lesser degrees of success. It’s hard to be a prophet in Nazareth.)
